The Brief

Design a workplace that reflects CFM’s purpose, values and international footprint into a calm, considered environment that supports focus, collaboration and long-term impact, balancing sophistication with warmth, clarity with material honesty.

The reception experience establishes a strong first impression rooted in clarity and purpose. Slatted elements introduce natural rhythm and warmth. Clean lines, tactile materials and a composed palette reflect CFM’s disciplined, long-term approach to responsible investment while creating a welcoming and professional arrival experience.

A bespoke acoustic world map, crafted from recycled felt, forms a functional focal point that visually expresses CFM’s global renewable energy footprint. Pinnable markers denote investment locations and asset types, embedding storytelling into the workspace by representing CFM’s global presence.

The boardroom is designed to support clarity, decision-making and strategic focus. A sleek aesthetic is complemented by frosted glass panels featuring vinyl-cut contour lines inspired by topographic mapping. These graphic layers reference place, geography and scale, creating privacy while allowing natural light to flow through the space.

Designed in close collaboration with Climate Fund Managers, this workplace reflects the organisation’s global mandate to invest responsibly in climate-positive infrastructure across emerging markets.

Material choices within the work café reinforce principles of responsibility and resource efficiency. Repurposed oil drums, timber tones and curved forms bring warmth and character while referencing reduce, reuse and recycle strategies. The space adopts a hospitality-inspired feel that is elegant, functional and aligned with CFM’s sustainability ethos.

Designed as a multifunctional work café, this space supports both connection and pause within the working day. Planted garden elements, soft curves and earthy tones introduce biophilic principles that foster calm and wellbeing. Inspired by natural systems, the design reflects CFM’s commitment to sustainability and long-term thinking.
