Environmental Resources Management

Conduit have been an absolute pleasure to work with. We had constant communication and updates from Conduit throughout the project and it had certainly felt as though Grant and his team became a part of the ERM team – all this achieved within budget. We are thrilled with the outcome and our new space has been a big hit with both staff and clients

The Client

ERM is a leading global provider of environmental, health, safety, risk, social consulting services and sustainability related services. Working with the world’s leading organisations to deliver innovative solutions and help them to understand and manage their sustainability challenges.

The Brief

With sustainability at the heart of ERM’s business, and a passionate team of employees living their brand, Conduit Interior were tasked with creating an interior that personifies who they are and what they stand for. With half of their staff compliment out on the road or on site at any one time, their new space needed to be a warm and welcoming haven for those returning to touch down and catch up. In addition, with global offices in no less than 40 countries, ease of connectivity and a variety of connection spaces were top priority.

The Design

Conduit Interior went to great lengths to understand who ERM are as a business in order to ensure that their new home would embody their strapline “The business of sustainability”. The result is the delivery of an interior that lives up to what they do to support their clients and to do it without barriers. The Fibonacci Sequence (or Golden Ratio) is one of nature’s building blocks and the core of their brand identity, we brought this across as a recurring theme within ERM’s interior. Warm materials, natural tones and planting were applied in abundance, the services were left exposed as a nod to the technical characteristics of ERM and the multitude of Engineers who call this workspace their home. A variety of private spaces such as focus rooms, telephone booths, meeting lounges, meeting rooms, training rooms and a boardroom were incorporated to support who they are as a global business.
