The Brief

Velocity Sports Lab’s brief was for a world class, inviting and energising facility. A community space that motivates like-minded people who share a common goal.

Comprising top-of-the-range equipment, sprung timber floors, top notch acoustics and the latest in performance monitoring technology, the new Velocity Sports Lab is a facility for professional athletes and weekend warriors alike.

Designed to feel like an extension of the gym, the locker rooms include steam rooms and an endless pool which underscores the efficient use of space.

Clear signage makes way-finding intuitive while acoustic ceilings, well-balanced lighting and high-powered fans resulted in an environment that feels fresh and energised.

Working with Grant over the past few years has been an absolute pleasure. He has an uncanny ability to conceptualize space and maximize the utilization thereof. His project management skills are on point and at all times the client is fully aware of the project progress, current and potential stumbling blocks, as well as adhering to the budgeting framework. His creativity on our projects has had no bounds from spatial layout, colour choices, furniture and fittings and fine details.
